WHAT/WHY IS LINUSS??
Linuss is the bedroom pop avatar of Los Angeles-based songwriter / producer Michael Glines. Named after the Peanuts character and the Greek god of song, Linuss blends melancholic stories with playful grooves and whimsical soundscapes. Sonically, the catalogue consists of modern alt-pop compositions embodied in oldschool tones and instruments – vintage drum machines, warbly surf guitars, dusty old synthesizers, with intimate baritone vocals. Linuss has been featured on dozens of indie music blogs and playlists, and has amassed thousands of avid listeners around the world.
Linuss's music is a captivating blend of dreamy indie pop, lo-fi nostalgia, and psychedelic vibes. Each track weaves intricate narratives, often exploring themes of love, longing, regret, and self-discovery. With influences ranging from D'Angelo to Beach House to Mac Demarco, the sonic landscape is rich and diverse.
